There are so few things in life that one has complete control over and when considering acting there are even fewer! You are NOT in control of; your time slot for an audition, the mood of the director or casting director, script changes, blocking directions etc... So what should you do? Be in control of that which you can be! Like; being prepared with the script, being well practiced for a cold read, wearing appropriate clothing, hair and makeup. You may be at the mercy of unforeseen circumstances like a bad traffic accident or a power outage BUT the thing to always remember is that you are 100% in control of how you deal with what is thrown at you. You always have a choice to react negatively to your situation, start blaming and excusing OR accept what comes your way and ask yourself how can you best deal with it while still accomplishing your goals.
